My latest job in EC Marketplace. What do you think?

In designing graphics, there are two main differences. It’s between starting from scratch and editing the existings.

In this post, I’m talking about starting from scratch. Editing the existings is an easier job, therefore I’m not covering it.

In order to have great ideas on the design concept, sometimes you have to do a real heavy brainstorming process.

But with information technology, it’s never been easier. All you need to do is find the most suitable keywords about what you’re designing. Then ask Mr Google to find out for you.

From the image results, you’ll get tons of ideas and inspirations you need. That’s what images do.

Optionally, take some time to try other keywords. Perhaps will give you more ideas, or even a total different design concept!

Without wasting any more times, start copying images which suits your needs and paste them in Adobe Photoshop to start editing.

P/s: Don’t forget to use layers, as it will save much of your time, seriously!

Andy / Jawsome's new blog

One of EC Admin, “Andy / Jawsome” has launched his new blog, getthemostoutofec.blogspot.com.

His posts mostly talks about EntreCard and the possibilities and impossibilities in becoming an EC member.

From the serious way of writing, it seems like the blog has a strict goal to be achieved. My first impression tells me that this blog has a great strategy to achieve it’s goal.

The blog started with the basic things to newcomers. I find it was good, but seems like no one wants to read it (I mean that particular post). Maybe because it is too basic that old members may not interested to read it at all.

But, when the time goes by, and Andy / Jawsome had move on with some other new posts, it turns my impression the other way round.

I was a bit surprised to see his latest post, talking about a contest. It’s not the contest that make me surprised, but the purpose of the contest!

You may read it yourself here and see what can you do to help yourself out of the box and how to manage yourself, at least to get safe from receiving any warnings, or at most – how to win yourself 10,000 EC Credits! (read carefully, it’s TEN THOUSAND!)

One thing I’m not sure about, is a broken link that most joining blogger posted it the same way. They didn’t even bother checking the links and for me it’s a way too far from reading it.

The link http://www.blogger.com/page/terms_and_conditions is never been found! Is that a mistake, or a typo, or, my mistake?

Without that hard-to-see mistake, I can tell you this is the most smartest yet rasional contest I’ve ever seen. Not like lucky-draw-never-won duplicate contests I really hated.

It has a straight point yet strict goal to be achieved. It also has a high quality campaign which could highly raising awareness to most so called “EC blogger”.

One thing before I forgot. I think it’s best if he can afford to get some CA$H to be given to the winners of the contest, not just EC credits.

Anyway, that’s all from my review for this time. I really hope to see more useful entries from this blog soon.

I was thinking, am I a graphic designer? Or, of the two images on your left, can I call myself a graphic designer?

These two images are advertise buttons. They’re meant to be advertisements.

The objective of any internet advertisement design is to create most clicks. For me, most clicks came from the most brightest and have most interesting graphics.

During designing these stuffs to achieve the objective, I got those results. Do you guys think I achieve the objective?

Any answer would do. But frankly telling you guys: before this, I’m not good in designing at all. But when I try it for couple of times, I can say that a consistant work will produce better and better results, from time to time.

Pendrive a.k.a USB Flash Drive

Pendrive a.k.a USB Flash Drive are usually easy to get exposed to many kinds of virus.

All you need to know is how to follow simple instructions and also know how to type some words using keyboard. That’s all if you’re using Windows XP, I swear!

Okay now let’s get going. Let me show you (using pictures) how to do it.

Pictorial Instructions (see the picture and read the note below each of it)

1. Go to "My Computer", right-click your USB Flash drive and select "Properties"

2. Note the drive letter and free space bytes.

3. Click on "Start", select "Run...", type "cmd" and click "OK"

4. Type "fsutil file createnew G:\DummyFile 139960320" and hit "Enter"

Note the drive letter (G:) and the bytes (139960320). After a few seconds or minutes, depending on your drive’s free disk space to be allocated, you’ll see something like this:

5. This is what happened. It creates a dummy file to trick viruses

After that, when you try to insert any files in it, you’ll have to delete the dummy file first. Otherwise, it won’t succeed.

After inserting other files, create it again. This way, virus will never ever has any way to get in your USB Flash drive, forever.
